The Kerstetter Wedding – Waukesha, WI

Where do I begin?  Josh & Sarah’s wedding day was full of beautiful moments.  Almost from the minute I arrived, I see Sarah receive a rose with a little love note attached and I knew we were just beginning what was going to be great day!  They shared a private First Look and prayer at Frame Park, and I was thrilled by how Sarah beamed up at Josh when he gave her one last rose.  Throughout their portraits, Josh & Sarah weren’t very loud or boisterous like some of my other couples can be, but I loved how they shared their own small laughs and lit up each other’s face with pure joy.  Their ceremony went perfectly and the strings of lights made for the perfect backdrop to their First Kiss which they had saved for each other until that very day.  Just a little bit of pressure on my end to make sure I captured it, but I managed and their faces before and afterwards were priceless.  Afterward, it was still dribbling out  – leftovers from the huge storms that had been rolling through since the moment we finished up the pictures before the ceremony (which I must say was very good timing!) – but I got to sneak a few more portraits of Josh & Sarah underneath the overhang of the church and then beneath a big oak tree.  Even though we lost power and were in almost complete darkness for the reception, that didn’t shut down the party by any means!  Then after dinner we got the music going in a different building with power, and the good times continued all the way up to the sparkler send off.  A very cheerful way to end a very stormy day. 🙂
