Pregnancy Reveal at Cathedral Square in Milwaukee, WI –
It all started with an 8:30am phone call. Not gonna lie, I was a little loath to pick up the phone after only getting a couple sips of coffee in so far that day. However when I found out it was one of my past brides, Emilee, & why she was calling… well… that woke me up more than my coffee! Emilee was calling to see if I was game to stage a pregnancy reveal! She had literally just found out that she was pregnant that morning and couldn’t wait to tell her husband, Justin, the good news! To lure Justin in front of my camera, Emilee wanted me to send her an email saying that they won a free photo session within a certain amount of days. With gusto, I typed up a cute little “YOU WON” email which thankfully Justin bought. 😉
Before the session, Emilee & I did some sneaking around. So that no charges would show up on their cards or Amazon prime, I ordered Emilee’s chalkboards for her & had them shipped to me. Seven days later, we all met at Cathedral Square in Milwaukee, WI. This was the place where Justin & Emilee’s love story began and bloomed. It’s where these two first met, and later where Justin proposed. Then they also had their engagement photos & a portion of their wedding photos taken there. So now it’s their own little place of nostalgia that they keep going back to. But this time Emilee was the one with the big surprise! <3
During the Pregnancy Reveal…
For the actual pregnancy reveal, we started off the session as I would any other couple’s session. After awhile, I figured it was time to pull out the chalkboards. I don’t usually have props in my couple photoshoots, so I had to come up with a good excuse. To sell it, I told Justin that I wanted to try out something new to see if it was too cheesy or not for future sessions. After placing Emilee & Justin back to back, I told them to each write down one word nice & big that describes the other person. Of course Emilee knew what she needed to write & get off her chest. 😉 And here is where I’ll let the candid photos do the rest of the story telling. 🙂Â
